Product Quality
All of the products listed this month are 1×6 or 1×8 tongue and groove cabin grade units of lumber. Cabin grade lumber will have more color and character then a 3 & better grade. The catch is there are some defects in the cabin grade lumber. Each board has something in it that did not allow it to a 3 & better grade. The plus side is that you get cabin grade materials for a much better price because of this. Most boards are around 50% to 70% useable and just require some trimming of defects.
What Is This Material Used For?
Cabin grade materials are used in patterns on walls, and in wanes coat applications. The cabin grade materials are ideal for this application because they only require shore pieces that you can hand select. Cabin grade materials also get use in furniture such as cabinet, night stands, dressers, etc.
