Log Homes Materials List

K&D Log Homes provides the following items in our standard log home package.

Log Package: you will find the items pertaining to log construction that apply to your type of construction. You will find all log attachment, caulking, stain, and sealer are included. We also provide you with log stairs are provided as needed.

Roof System: all roofing materials including insulation and metal roofing are included as seen in the Roof System section. Your roof system as a structure comes with all materials need to be complete minus any electrical and/or plumbing required.

Main Floor System: we include everything except the finish for your floor such as; carpeting, tile, or hardwood flooring. We also do not include insulation in the floor system as a part of the standard kit, but it can be added.

Deck/Porch: all listed materials are included, and upgrade from redwood decking to composite decking is available.

Wall Framing: we do provide all interior 2×4 and 2×6 framed walls. We also include any framed stairs required. As a standard part of the log home kit we do not provide an interior finish for your walls, but we can add 1×6 or 1×8 tongue & groove log home siding or drywall upon request.

Bucking: you will see that it comes with the oly screws required to attach the bucking. The Bucking is the piece of trim or casing that goes around all doors and windows. The standard kit has log bucking that will compliment your log home well. Other square bucking is available upon request.

Loft/Second Floor System: all structural elements are included in a log home package. You can add 1×6 or 1×8 tongue & groove for the bottom side of the floor system. You can also add insulation upon request.

All log cabin plans have specific structural needs and requirements that are unchangeable, but there are several items that can be changed. For this reason we have a Log Homes Options List to help you decide what look you want.
